Abstract
PURPOSE: To detect the velocity of the dust-collecting medium and enhance the dust-collecting efficiency in the case of removing dusts from a dust-containing gas coming out from a blast furnace or the like by the moving-bed dust collector, by a method wherein the moving bed of said medium is constructed in a sectioned structure and detectors are provided in medium feed pipes of the collector.
CONSTITUTION: A support body 2 made of wire mesh and having a polygonal cross-sectional shape is placed in a pressure vessel 1, and the moving bed 5 of the dust-collecting medium in the body 2 is sectioned into moving beds 5aW5f of said medium by partition walls 4 each of which is provided at the boundary between each adjacent pair of side walls of the body 2. The feed pipes 6 are provided for the moving beds 5aW5f separately from each other and are fed with the dust- collecting medium 8 from a hopper 7, each of the pipes 6 being fitted with an electrostatic capacity meter 13. The velocity of said medium 8 flowing downward from the hopper 7 is detected by the detectors 13 and is adjusted at a proper value, and if an abnormality is present in any of the moving beds 5aW5f, it is detected and corrected adequately. Accordingly, it is possible to enhance the dust-collecting efficiency in the case where the dust-containing exhaust gas 11 is cleaned by said moving beds 5aW5f and is taken out as a clean gas 12.
