Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:An N-(3,4-dihydroxybenzylidene)-4-aminomethylcyclohexane-1- carboxylic acid expressed by formulaI, and a salt and ester thereof.
USE: A physiologically active agent, useful as a remedy for various diseases, e.g. inflammation, thrombosis, cerebral hemorrhage, hypertension, asthma, cancers, etc., particularly chronic diseases, e.g. chronic rheumarthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), etc., and having the regulating action on leukocytoplania and/or inhibitory action on blood platelet aggregation.
PROCESS: Dihydrobenzaldehyde expressed by formula II is condensed with a trans- or cis-4-aminomethylcyclohexane-1-carboxylic acid expressed by formula III or an ester thereof through dehydration in an organic solvent, preferably at 0W120°C, in an inert gaseous atmosphere to give the compound expressed by formulaIadvantageously.
