Abstract
PURPOSE: To automatically initiate electric discharge even if electric discharge is stopped, in the electric discharge apparatus of a waste gas treating apparatus, by mounting a timing relay circuit, a discharge current detector, a counter circuit and a relay circuit in an electric discharge control circuit.
CONSTITUTION: A waste gas to be treated is introduced from a gas introducing port 1a and discharged from a discharge port 1b. The electrode 2a among electrodes 2a, 3a, 4a, 5a arranged in series at intervals is connected to other electrode in parallel through a power source and, to the electrodes 3a, 4a, a moment operation timing return contacts 13a, 14a of a timing relay 13 are connected. The timing relay 13 is set so as to lengthen a contact time of the electrodes 13a, 14a and the contacts 13a, 14a and spark discharge is succeedingly carried out between the electrodes. When electric discharge is stopped, a predetermined number of discharge initiating operations are automatically carried out by a relay 18 and a counter circuit 17.
