Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the sealing property of a packing by a method wherein a groove is provided to the inner peripheral surface of the packing inserted into the end part of a separation pipe and said groove and a pressurized stock liquid are communicated by a conduid passage provided to an adaptor to utilize the pressure of the stock liquid.
CONSTITUTION: A separation pipe 1 formed by providing a tubular film 12 in a porous support pipe 1 is seald in the passage port 21 of a connector 2 by a ring like protrusion 32 of a packing 3 and the packing 3 is contacted with a separation pipe film 120 under pressure by a cylindrical adaptor 4. To the inner surface of the cylindrical part 31 of the packing, a ring like groove 33 is provided and, to the adaptor 4, a pore 41 communicated with the groove 33 is provided. When a stock liquid is flowed through the separation pipe 1 under high pressure, because the stock liquid is introduced into the groove 33 through the pore 41 to compress the packing 3, the sealability between the packing 3 and the separation pipe film surface 120 is enhanced.
