Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify testing, by attaching a large elastic rubber plug into an opening provided on a part of a motor frame, sending compressed air to inside of the motor and leaving the motor in the water to confirm the waterproof performance. CONSTITUTION:By providing an opening on a part of a motor frame 1 of a waterproof electrical equipment operating motor, a large elastic rubber plug 2 is attached into the opening in such a manner as to provide it with a water-tight covering. And, by sticking a needle-like nozzle into the rubber plug 2, compressed air equivallent to air expansion is sent into inside of the motor, and by leaving the motor in the water at normal temperature, water-protecting performance is confirmed. And, since it is possible, by doing so, to conduct a testing by using compressed air being used normally in a plant and water at normal temperature, it is possible to simplify the testing method extremely.
