Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a desensitized ink which is excellent in a desensitizing effect and wet offset printability and does not undergo yellowing, by using a specific addition compound of glycerol-propylene oxide as a desensitizer. CONSTITUTION:A desensitized ink is prepared by using as basic ingredients an addition compound of glycerol-propylene oxide which is represented by the general formula (wherein a, b and c represent each an integer of 1 or higher) and of which average molecular weight is 1,000-7,000, a pigment and an adhesive, and by adding, if necessary a setoff preventing agent, a wax compound, an antioxidant, etc. An inorganic pigment such a titanium oxide or zinc oxide is used as a pigment and a high molecular compound such as a ketone resin is used as an adhesive and the amount of a pigment and an adhesive based on 20-60pts. wt. desensitizer shall be each 10-40pts.wt. The ink thus obtained has a proper viscosity suitable to the wet offset printing system.
