Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent missing of data and printing by making the end of a glass fiber bundle at least larger in the length than light emitted from an LED array in an optical printer employing the LED array for the light source. CONSTITUTION:LED arrays are arranged on a ceramic head zigzag in two rows while the LED arrays in the rows A and B are set at a pitch two times as large as the length of light emitted. Glas fiber bundles 6a and 6b correspond to one row of the arrays in the lateral length, namely, the length of each end thereof. This allows light of each array in the rows A and B to be all led to a photosensitive drum 4 thereby eliminating missing of data. Where light images of the respective arrays are put on the drum 4 at the same straight line, there exists no separation on the boundary between the light images of the rows A and B thereby eliminating missing of printing.
