Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve stretchability and shrinkability at low temperature, by stretching at the specified ratio the material composed of the vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon polymer block having the molecular weight of specified range as the block copolymer component for use as material such as the heat-shrinkable package, the label, and the like. CONSTITUTION:The block copolymer which is constituted from at least one polymer block composed of one or more kinds of vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon such as styrene, 1,3-dimethylstyrene etc. and at least one polymer block composed of one or more kinds of the conjugated diene of 1,3-butadiene, isoprene etc. as a main body and has their weight ratio from 60:40 to 95:5 is polymerized. Here, the number average molecular weight of vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon polymer block is 10,000-70,000. When the obtained block copolymer is uniaxially stretched at the stretch temperature 60-120 deg.C, in the stretch ratio 1.5-8 times, the sheet etc. of which heat-shrinkage of stretch direction is more than 15% at 80 deg.C and tensile modulus is more than 7,000kg/cm<2> is obtained.
