Abstract

PURPOSE:To couple at least one couple of fiber terminals invariably by switching the positions of optical fiber terminals of two rotors which have the same rotary shaft and rotate mutually, by providing optical fiber terminals to the contact surfaces of those two rotors. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 1 and a rotor 2 rotate around a rotary shaft 3. On their contact surface, the rotor 1 is provided with optical fiber terminals 4a-4b at constant angular intervals on different circumferential surfaces, and the rotor 2 is provided with optical fiber terminals 8a-8b. The electromagnet 9c of the optical fiber terminal 8c of the rotor 2 is enegized to attract the movable fiber terminal 4c of the rotor 1, and once the electromagnet 9c is energized until the rotor 2 totates clockwise by 90 deg., the electromagnet 9b of the optical fiber terminal 8b of the rotor 2 is energized to attract the fiber terminal 4b of the rotor 1; a couple of fiber terminals of the rotors 1 and 2 couples optically with each other at each rotation position without fail, thereby sending and receiving optical signals between optical transmitter and receivers 5 and 10.
