Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled additive, containing a monoester compound of a (poly)alkylene glycol with an aliphatic carboxylic acid, and capable of remarkably increasing the flocculating effect on a pulverized coal only by mixing with an oil and a coal slurry.
CONSTITUTION: An additive obtained by synthesizing a monoester of an alkylene glycol or polyalkylene glycol, preferably polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight in the range of 150W500, with an aliphatic carboxylic acid, e.g. oleic acid, having preferably 15 or more carbon atoms and one or more unsaturated bonds.
EFFECT: Remarkably improved recovery ratio of pulverized coal.
