Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the discrimination of the spot size of an invisible beam possible accurately and easily by means of a visible beam by enclosing an invisible laser luminous flux with a visible laser luminous flux parallelly, and condensing both luminous fluxes at the same spot. CONSTITUTION:A CO2 laser 7 which generates an invisible laser beam of large output and an He-Ne laser 8 which generates a visible laser beam of low output are provided in mutually roughly orthogonally intersecting directions. A ring mirror 10 which has a hole 9 at the center and is coated with Al or the like 14 on the surface receiving the beam 8 is disposed in the position where the optical axes of both laser beams 7, 8 intesect, in such a way as to assume roughly 45 deg. to both laser luminous fluxes 7, 8. The flux 7 passes through the hole 9 of the mirror 10, and the flux 8 is expanded of the diameter of the luminous flux by a beam expander 11, and is reflected by the Al 14 of the mirror 10 to enclose the flux 7. Both fluxes 7, 8 are condensed at the working point by a condenser lens 13.
