PURPOSE:To hold sensitivity excellent by preventing film forming even if a photoreceptor is used repeatedly many times, by providing fine grains of thermoplastic resin in a recessed part formed in the surface of a photosensitive layer and by treating them thermally. CONSTITUTION:A photoreceptor 1 is constituted by providing a photoconductive layer 3 on a base 2 as a photosensitive layer, and fine grans 5 of thermoplastic resin are provided in recessed parts 4 in the surface of the photoconductive layer 3, dissolved by a heat press, etc., and then solidified. When development is performed by using this photoreceptor 1, no toner enters the recessed parts 4 and therefore, cleaning after development and transfer removes almost all of toner from the surface of the photoconductive layer 3, so that little toner is left.
