Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain each coefficient of the conversion matrix, by combining two component detectors via a connecting member, and comparing the outputs of both detectors. CONSTITUTION:A universal vice 40 whose attitude can be arbitrarily changed, the component detector 10' to be calibrated which is held by the universal vice 40, the calibrated component detector 10 which is combined to said detector 10', a load member 42 which is attached to the component detector 10, and an oscillator 50 which drives said two component detectors 10 and 10' are provided. The outputs from two component detectors 10 and 10' are picked up by a multiplexer 24. A sample and hold circuit 25, an AD converter 26, and a digital computer 100 are provided. Forces and moments which act on two component detectors 10 and 10' combined by the connecting part 41 are equal. Therefore, by comparing the outputs of the two known and unknown component detectors 10 and 10', each coefficient of the conversion matrix can be obtained.
