Abstract

PURPOSE: A thermally adherent composite material with excellent shape retention at a high temp., flexibility at a low temp., cracking resistance and coating processability, prepd. by the integration of a specified polyether polyester copolymer and a nonwoven long-fiber fabric.
CONSTITUTION: A polyether ester copolymer of m.p. 110W180°C consistuted of a polyester segment substantially consisting of a polybutylene terephthalate/ isophthalate or polybutylene terephthalate and a polyether segment substantially consisting of a polytetramethylene glycol, is used. Namely, said copolymer and a nonwoven long-fiber fabric of basis wt 20W300g/cm2 composed of a long fiber of finenes 1W10 denier pref. having adhesiveness to said copolymer and m.p. ≥ about 200°C are integrated by, e.g., melt-extrusion lamination to prepare a composite material.
