PURPOSE:To distinguish the audio of a caller clearly even under the presence of noise, by transmitting only the main component of the audio through the analysis of waveform of the audio of the caller. CONSTITUTION:An audio signal from a microphone 1 is converted at an A/D conversion circuit 3 and applied to a D/A conversion circuit 5 via a variable digital filter 4. Next, the audio signal in analog conversion is applied to an ear-phone 7 via an amplifier 6. On the other hand, a digital signal from an A/D converter 3 is waveform-analyzed at a waveform analysis circuit 9 and the result is given to a frequency band determining circuit 11 to detect the main component of the audio signal. The digital filter 4 is controlled through the output of the circuit 11. Thus, since the main component only in the audio signal is transmitted, the voice of the caller can be listened clearly even under the presence of noise.
