Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the linearity of a damper of elliptical and rectangular speakers, by suitably selecting the material and the shape of a damper consisting of flexible square tubular bodies. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of flexible square tubular bodies 23 are linked to each external circumference of a central support 21 having a hole 20 for coil bobbin fixing via a folding part 22. An elliptic external circumferential support 25 is linked to the external circumference of the bodies 23 via the folding part 24 to form a damper. As the member forming this damper, an anisotropic material is used, and the rigidity toward the longer diameter is weakened to increase the linearity. The height of the square tubular bodies toward shorter diameter is increased to increase the linearity. That is, as to the square tubular bodies toward the longer diameter, the linearity is increased by the material and as to those toward the shorter diameter the linearity is improved by the shape. Thus, the linearity of damper of elliptic and rectangular speakers can be increased.
