PURPOSE:To obtain a color picture tube electron gun electrode structure which has a reduced cost and has reduced graphite separation and spark current by decreasing the number of welding parts extremely. CONSTITUTION:A bulb spacer contact 10 and a shield cup 11 are assembled by fitting spherical-shaped parts 10a of the bulb spacer contact 10 into holes 11a and cuts 11b of the shield cup 11, and welding and fixing the bulb spacer contact 10 to the shield cup 11 at a welding point 12. Since the spherical-shaped parts 10a are fitted into the holes 11a, the bulb spacer contact 10 is not detached from the shield cup 11 even though it is welded to the cup 11 at only one welding point 12. In addition, when an electron gun is inserted into the neck, spring force is obtained by deforming the spring member 10b into the shape indicated by the dotted line by applying force F to the spherical-shaped parts 10a.
