Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate the handling and operation of floats for prevention of heat radiation and to improve the effect of preventing heat radiation by floating a block connected in parallel with said floats on the liquid surface of a treating liquid tank for metallic plates, and detaining this with ropes.
CONSTITUTION: Float parts A, B made of fiber reinforced thermosetting resins incorporating heat insulating materials therein are placed opposite to each other and are connected foldably by using joint hinges 1 and shaft bars 2. Units of such float blocks are connected with connecting bars 5, and are further connected by passing ropes 7 into the hooks 6 fixed to the parts A, B. This block unit is floated on the heating liquid 8 surface in a liquid tank 10 for treating metallic plates. Detaining ropes 9 are connected to the hooks 4 of connecting bars 9 and the other ends are fixed to the outside of the tank 10, whereby the block unit is detained. Thereby, many floats can be floated on the liquid surface. Since there are virtually no spacings between the floats, the high effect of preventing heat radiation is obtained.
