Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure enough strength despite the use of an anchor plate of small width, by providing the bracket assembly of an anchoring structure for a seat belt, with a deformed member which is broken in the emergency of a vehicle and expanded so that the anchor plate passes through along the deformed member. CONSTITUTION:A bracket assembly 12, which is mounted by a bolt 14 on a lower seat bracket member on the inner side of a seat, is composed of an outer part 16 and an inner part 18 which are integrated with each other by a rivet 19. A share pin 28 is provided as a deformed member on the intermediate portions of the outer and the inner parts 16, 18. An anchor pin 30 is provided so that it extends through the lower ends of the inner and the outer parts 16, 18. An anchor plate 34 is provided so that it extends through between the pins 28, 30. The rear end of the anchor plate 34 is supported through the medium of a bolt 36 by a bearing 38 integrated with a plate 40 secured at 42 on a floor 23. A buckle 54 is attached to the bracket assembly 12 by a bolt 58.
