Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a gear train suitable for automatic speed changing by basically combining two units of single pinion type simple planetary gear set, one unit of double pinion type planetary gear set, two clutches, and three brakes. CONSTITUTION:An input is connected to clutches CL1-CL3. The clutch CL1 is connected to a sun gear S2 and a ring gear RG1, the clutch CL2 is connected to carriers C1, C2 which are integrated with one another and a ring gear RG3, and the clutch CL3 is connected to a sun gear S1 and a brake B1. The sun gear S1, planet pinions P1, P2, and the ring gear RG1 are in mesh with one another. The sun gear S2, planet pinion P3, and the ring gear RG2 integrated with an output shaft mesh with one another. The ring gear RG3, planet pinion P4, and sun gear S3 mesh with one another. The sun gear S3 is locked by the brake B3, and ring gear RG3 by the brake B2.
