Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a light and compact flywheel device of high capacity by making use of attraction and repulsion working between magnets. CONSTITUTION:An input shaft 1 and an output shaft 2 are respectively equipped with gears 3 and 4 to be engaged, and connected at a fixed rate of revolution. A plurality of permanent magnets 5 are fast fixed at equal intervals to face to the input shaft 1 and an output shaft 2 via support members 6 and 7 with a small rotational radius r1 round the input shaft and a large rotational redius r2 round the output shaft. In this construction, when magnets on one side crosses the line connecting axes of both shafts, the maximum unstable magnetic force is generated among magnets on another side.
