In case of removal of the secondary coating, the optical fiber core is inserted to the groove 5, and the optical fiber core is held by the holding plate, and one or two provided blades 6 and 6' are used to tear off the secondary coating from the optical fiber strand easily by moving the optical fiber core in the axial direction.
