Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify assembling work and enable efficient manufacture of a stable watch by applying fluidized transparent synthetic resin in a layer on an ornamental frame having a window hole in the center thereof and by setting the same later to form a transparent window layer. CONSTITUTION:An ornamental surface 1a is prepared on a thin material plate of aluminum or the like by printing, while the ornamental frame 1 wherein the window hole 2 is punched is prepared in great numbers. This ornamental frame 1 is mounted on the upper surface of a base member 4 whose surface is made into a mirror and photosensitive synthetic resin liquid is injected into and filled up in the window hole 2 located in the center of the frame 1 through a slender pipe and is applied also on the whole of the ornamental surface 1a of the frame 1 on the outer periphery thereof to form a layer of an appropriate thickness. Afterwards, the resin liquid is set by the application of infrared rays and is left as it is until it is cooled down to the normal temperature, whereby the ornamental window frame plate is obtained. By this method, the ornametal frame 1 and the transparent window layer 3 are constituted in a monolithic transparent ornamental frame plate, thereby a work for setting the same into the case of a wrist watch becomes easy and efficient and thus an excellent watch free from shaking of both members 1 and 2, etc. can be obtained.
