Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled composition, consisting of a high-density and high-molecular weight polyethylene (PE) and a low-density and low-molecular weight polyethylene (PE), having improved environmental stress crack resistance, fluidity characteristics and mechanical strength, and suitable for high-speed molding fields, e.g. extrusion coating molding, or blow molding.
CONSTITUTION: A composition obtained by mixing (A) preferably 65W95wt% polyethylene, obtained by the low pressure process, and having a density of 0.950W0.970g/cm3, a weight-average molecular weight of 200,000W400,000 and a melt index of 0.02W0.7g/10min with (B) preferably 35W5wt% polyethylene having a density of 0.920W0.950g/cm3 and a weight average-molecular weight <10,000. A filler, extender, modifying agent, stabilizer, etc. may be added thereto if necessary.
EFFECT: Rich in mechanical properties, e.g. impact resistance, compression resistance, and flexural strength.
