CONSTITUTION:The relationship between the twisting angle betarc of a shaving cutter 1 on its pitch circle for engagement with a gear 2 to be cut and that betar of the gear on its pitch circle for engagemnt with the cutter is prescribed as betarc=betar-xr or betarc=betar+xr where xr denotes the angle of axis intersection of the shaving cutter 1 and the gear 2. Since the relationship between the twisting angles betar, betarc is prescribed trial shaving after the replacement of the cutter is not needed. As a result, the gear 2 is fnished-cut with, the constant angle xr of axis intersection.
