Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate production by forming a recombination member sealed in a tube with a profile memory metal which has a shape easy for sealing at a normal temperature and becomes into a shape of a desired recombination member at a high temperature. CONSTITUTION:A profile memory metal is used as a recombination member to be sealed in a fluorescent lamp. This recombination member has a shape of closed brushes at a normal temperature, and becomes into a shape of opened brushes at a high temperature. This brush-shaped recombination member is sealed in a glass tube. The recombination member has a shape of closed brushes during a sealing process, but after sealing, as the glass tube is heated at a high temperature the profile memory alloy sealed in the tube becomes into a shape of a base feature, i.e., a shape of opened brushes, thus performing a role as the recombination member.
