Abstract
PURPOSE:To purify pyrite cinder by a high dressing grade, by reducing and magnetizing a paramagnetic substance component in pyrite cinder, and after that, crushing the whole, and subsequently separating and collecting a ferromagnetic substance by a dry weak magnetic ore-separator. CONSTITUTION:Pyrite cinder is crushed by a crusher, crushed powder is converted into pellets, and after that, is charged into a reducing and roasting furnace together with charcoal, and a paramagnetic substance component in Fe2O3 in cinder is reduced to FeO.Fe2O3 at 600 deg.C or above about 1hr and is magnetized. Subsequently, it is crushed again by the crusher, and after that, a ferromagnetic substance (Fe2O3) is separated as a simple substance from a ganguemineral component in pyrite cinder being a nonmagnetic substance, by a dry weak magnetic ore-separator. In this way, it is possible to purify pyrite cinder by such a high dressing grade as its magnetic flux density is small, feed treatment can be executed in a wide space, and it can be used directly as reducing and iron manufacturing raw materials, etc.
