Abstract

PURPOSE: To make acidic components easy to dislodge from filter cloths without sticking on pipe walls on the way by spraying water into waste gases to damp the gases, separately spraying neutralizing powder such as quicklime, slaked lime, or calcium carbonate into th waste gases, and neutralizing the acidic components in a dry state on the next bag filter.
CONSTITUTION: The untreated high-temp. waste gases contg. acidic components from a waste incineration furnace or the like flow toward a flue 6 through a line 7, and water is sprayed and supplied thereto through a line 8 on the way. Good results wil be obtained if the moisture is contained in the waste gases at 30W50%. It is better to spray the water with two liquid type nozzles or the like to ≤50microns so as to permit immediate evaporation. Next, powder of quicklime, slaked lime, calcium carbonate etc. is scattered from a supply device 2 and powder having no stickability such as alumina, silica sand, rock and stone powder, etc. from a supply device 3. These are captured with a bag filter 4 and are neutralized with hydrochloric acid, etc., in the gases on the filter cloths. The acid components do not stick on the inside surfaces of the waste gas passages, the need for cleaning these is eliminated and the dislodging from the bag filter is easy.
