Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a low pass type filter having a steep attenuating characteristic simply, by suitably setting an aperture area of a front grill located in front of a speaker. CONSTITUTION:Front grill 1 having a plurality of lattice shaped openings 1a is adhered to a frame of a low frequency speaker in a multi-way speaker system. Thus, the sound pressure characteristics can be a great dip by taking some frequency range as a center. This decrease in the sound pressure has a relation to open factor of the grill 1, and when the opening factor of the grill 1 is decreased, the attenuation of the sound pressure characterictics start from lower frequency. A low pass filter characteristic in which lower frequency band only is passed through and other bands are attenuated can simply be obtained, and an adverse effect of a low frequency reproduction speaker on a high frequency reproduction speaker can be avoided.
