PURPOSE:To eliminate a photometric error caused by the adverse incident light given through an eyepiece of a camera and at the same time to minimize the power consumption of a power supply, by providing an eyepiece shutter to the eyepiece to cut off the adverse incident light to be put into a view finder. CONSTITUTION:When a self-timer switch S6 and an eyepiece shutter switch S13 are closed, an electromagnetic releasing circuit is switched to an active mode from an inactive mode by the signal given from a terminal J29. At the same time, the working of an electromagnetic release control circuit is controlled by the releasing operation. When the self-timer is not in use, the switch S6 is opened. Thus the working of the electromagnetic release control circuit is controlled by the release signal given from the terminal J29 regardless of the opening of closing of the switch S13 which is closed by the setting of the eyepiece shutter.
