Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure the distribution of 2-dimensional radiation intensity with high space resolution and by a simple information processing method, by giving the sweeping to a 2-dimensional film which emits the light proportional to the radiation quantity to be irradiated by means of a light input optical fiber and a light detecting optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:The X rays after passing through a specimen 2 has an interaction with a phosphate glass substrate 7 to form a 2-dimensional density distribution centering on the fluorescent center and corresponding to the 2-dimensional intensity distribution of irradiated X rays. The orange-colored fluorescent light is emitted at the fluorescent center by the excitation due to the ultraviolet rays. Accordingly the density distribution of the fluorescent center is read for the substrate 7 by detecting the light by a detecting optical fiber 9 while the light is made incident by a light input optical fiber 8. Then an information processor 15 displays an X-ray image of the specimen 2 on a display device 16 based on the sweep position signal of the optical fiber and the detection signal obtained from a photodetector 12.
