Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the rotating force from the reaction of a baloon shrinking by forming vane tubes all around a rotary drum, fixing a baloon to the bottom of each vane tube's backmost part, and by filling the chamber, in which the said drum is installed, with pressurized water for shrinkage of the baloon. CONSTITUTION:A rotary drum 1 is formed by providing vane tubes 5 all around the body 2 for rotary drum in the direction opposite to the rotation, where each vane tube 5 is blocked by a baloon 3 and part of the baloon is closely fixed to the baloon fixation part 4 in the backmost of vane tube. Water is poured into the chamber 6 and pressurization is commenced to allow the baloon 3 to shrink gradually. The pressure applied to the baloon 3 will press the rotary drum 1 in the direction of rotation owing to the expansive pressure of the air and its own elasticity. The reaction from the baloon fixation position will be a force to rotate in the same direction because the whole periphery of the rotary drum 1 has a uniform construction.
