PURPOSE:To operate a VTR easily and efficiently, by constituting it so that recording or reproducing becomes on standby as soon as a television camera is connected to the VTR. CONSTITUTION:A video signal, a sound signal, etc. of an object to be photographed is transferred to a VTR 5 from a television camera 1 by inserting a connector 4 into a socket 6 through a cable 3. Switches 2A, 2B and 2C are used for turning on and off an electric power supply, for switching the recording and reproducing, and for switching the running and stop of a tape, respectively, and automatic loading is executed by connecting the camera and the VTR in advance, turning on in advance a remote control switch 7B and an electric power supply switch 7A of the VTR, and turning on the switch 2A of the camera side, therefore, after that, said switches 2B and 2C for switching the recording and reproducing, and switching the running and stop of a tape, respectively, are operated as necessary. In this way, the VTR is operated easily and efficiently.
