Abstract
PURPOSE:To control temperature free from effect of external light by providing a cylinder composed of non-reflection material for introduction of radiation ray on a radiation ray detector in a flame-free atomizer atomic absorption for atomizing elements by Joule heat. CONSTITUTION:A sample is dropped into a cuvette 5 from a sample injection hole 9 located at the bottom of a pipe injection hole 8 and current flows between graphite electrodes 2 and 2' to decompose organic substance in the sample. Then, each element is atomized by high temperature heating to match it. Radiation ray from the cuvette 5 passes through a radiation hole 15 and reaches a detection elemnt 14 through an introduction cylinder 16 made of graphite and an infrared ray transmitting filter 13. Current applied to the cuvette 5 is controlled according to the level of the radiation ray. With such an arrangement, only the infrared ray nearly parallel to the introduction cylinder 16 reaches the detection element thereby 14 preventing effent of external light.
