Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable holding of sliding sealing surface not only at high pressure time but also at low pressure time by providing a pressure receiver for fluid pressure at a rotating ring end face or a fixed ring end face which is butted to a support or a retainer by means of an energized spring. CONSTITUTION:A fixed ring 3 is inlaid in an immovable retainer 4 via a seal ring 13, while a rotary ring 2 is inserted further via a ring seal 12 into a support 10 which is fixed to a shaft 1 via a ring seal 14. The rotary ring 2 is pivoted to the support 10 by a rotation stopper pin 11. And, drainage of a fluid 8 at the inner periphery of a sliding sealing surface 7 extends to an end face which is butted to the support 10 of the rotary ring 2. A pressure receiver 15 containing a concave part is fixed at this end face and a bypass passage 16 is made between an area smaller than the inner diameter of a sealing surface of a sliding sealing side end face of the rotary ring at the concave portion in a way that the inner peiphery fluid 8 can be guided easily.
