Abstract

PURPOSE:To exactly form a molding with an acutely curved face by a method in which a parison is contacted with the hot cavity of molds being heated and molded while keeping it in a fluidal state. CONSTITUTION:Split molds 5 are heated by electrically energizing heaters 11, and then a parison P is extruded into the split molds 5 being separated and lowered. Then, when putting the split molds 5 having the parison P inside together by means of oil-pressure cylinders 6, a given cavity is formed and an air pin 14 is fixed between paired blow port halve faces 10. Then, compressed air from a compressor 22 is blown into the parison P inside the cavity through an air blow-out port by actuating a solenoid valve 21 in such a way as to expand the parison P until it comes into contact with the faces of the cavity. At this time, the synthetic resin contacted with the faces of the cavity is expanded into the corners of a curved face and molded. Then, an electromagnetic valve 27 is opened and the valve 21 is switched to connect the compressor 24 with a pipe 19, whereupon high-pressure air inside the molding is discharged to the outside, cold air of the compressor 24 is blown into the molding, and the molding is thus cooled and hardened.
