Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize various extension calls by means of an existing 4-wire cable, by connecting a key telephone set to a main device via the 1st and 2nd cables that transmit the aural frequency signal plus the 3rd and 4th cables that transmit the data signal and the electric power.
CONSTITUTION: The handset of a key telephone set KT1 is picked up, and an extension call button ICM is pushed. Then a number obtained by adding O to the number which is allotted to the set KT is pushed by means of a push-button pad KPD. The push signal is applied to a main controller CC of a main device ME. In response to this, a relay TB of a telephone KT60 is actuated and a speaker SP and a microphone MIC are connected to distributing cables EL160 and EL260. At the same time, the cross point of switching matrices X1 and X3 works. Then both the speaker and microphone of the telephone KT60 are connected to the handset of the telephone KT1 via a key telephone interface circuit L11, a lead wire FL101, distributing cables EL160, 260, 560, 660, etc. In such a way, a call is possible between both telephone sets without using any handset.
