Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the combustibility in an engine by identifying the condition before and after the completion of warming-up of the engine and increasing the range of plasma operation of after the completion before the completion, thereby enabling the plasma ignition immediately in response to the warming-up state of the engine. CONSTITUTION:A plasma operating range setting unit 37 receives as input signals output signals of a controller 39 which receives as an input signal the output of a water temperature sensor 38, and or a throttle opening sensor 40 and a rotating speed sensor 41, sets the operating range for achieving a plasma ignition, and closes a switch 30 when the operating state of the engine is in the plasma operating range to carry out the function of a low voltage generator 22. The unit sets the plasma operating range to the low load operating range lower than 30 deg. of the throttle opening when the engine warm-up is completed and to the operating range lower than 40 deg. of the throttle opening when the engine warm-up is not yet completed in accordance with the output signal of a water temperature sensor 38.
