Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent burning of a drive coil, by a method wherein a current flowing to each drive coil is detected, and a determining circuit, determining whether or not a current value reaches a reference level within a given time starting from energization of the drive coil, is mounted. CONSTITUTION:In case temperature of a drive coil SL exceeds an allowable range resulting from the energization of a drive current C, if a clock signal A goes to HIGH from LOW, an output signal E of a first flip flop FF1 attains LOW. If a drive signal B goes to HIGH from LOW, and a drive coil SL and a resistance R1 for current are energized with the drive current C, resulting from the increase in temperature of a differential amplifier OP, the drive coil SL is increased in resistance, and is reduced in a rise property to determine that the drive current C does not reach a reference current level during a given time. Thus, a determining signal D is kept in a HIGH condition, a reset of the flip flop FF1 is prohibited, and an output signal E is maintained in a LOW condition.
