Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation of lithium when a swirl electrode group is formed by press-bonding sheet separators with coarse surfaces on the surface of a negative active material sheet comprising lithium metal. CONSTITUTION:When a swirl electrode group is formed of a lithium sheet 2 and separators 4 comprising polypropylene nonwoven fabric provided on both side of the lithium sheet 2, the materials are pressbonded to one sheet by placing and feeding lithium sheets 3' cut into a prescribed size on a continuous strip sheet 4', feeding a sheet 4' on the other side, and passing it between a pair of rolls 5. Because lithium is a soft metal and on the other hand polypropylene nonwoven fabric is porous and fuzzy on the surface, a part of the nonwoven fabric sinks into the surface of the lithium sheet 2 to bind together, the assembly will not slide and deform when wound swirl, and the productivity can be improved.
