Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled fiber that is obtained from a composition composed of a specific polyester copolymer and fine particles with a specific particle size distribution, thus showing good thermal adhesion and high process stability.
CONSTITUTION: The objective fiber is obtained from a composition that is composed of (A) a polyester copolymer consisting of more than 50mol% of terephthalic acid, based on the total acid component, more than 70mol% of diols including ethylene glycol, 1,4-butanediol and 1,6-hexanediol and 0W45mol% of other aliphatic and/or alicyclic copolymerizable components, thus showing 80W 200°C melting point, more than 20cal/g heat of crystal fusion, less than 90 seconds minimum crystallization time and higher than 5kg/cm2 shear strength when PET is adhered, and of (B) fine particles of less than 4 micron average particle size contg. less than 20/mm3 crude particles of larger than 10 microns in size.
