Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve low-cost manufacturing with a simple construction and to obtain a driving mechanism with sure operation and excellent operating feeling, by moving a head base through the displacement of a cam follower lever.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of cams rotatably driven independently and a cam follow lever 22 having two control projections engaged and displaced with the revolution of the cams are provided. Further, a head base 28 fitted with heads 33 for reproduction and erasure and a head base driving means moving back and forth incorrespondence to the displacement of the said cam follow lever 22 are provided. The head base 28 is advanced at the middle position through the displacement of the cam follow lever 22 when either one of the said cams rotates, and the head base 28 is advanced to the play position through the displacement of the cam follow lever 22 when a pair of cams rotate.
