Abstract

PURPOSE:To lubricate both a reduction gear-box and a bearing by a simple mechanism wherein a passage for lubricant is provided around a rotating shaft extended between a reduction gear-box next to a belt pulley and the bearing located on the opposite side to the belt pulley. CONSTITUTION:A speed reducer 11 is provided next to the belt pulley 5 at the rear in the casing C and is sealed in a liquid-tight construction by installing a cover 14 inside the casing proper C1. The first gear 17 of the gear train in the speed reducer 11 is loosely fitted on the rotating shaft 8 and its gear teeth 21 at the end on the side of the belt pulley 5 mesh with teeth of a gear 22 on the end of the countershaft 9. Thus, reduced gear rotation can be transmitted to the rotating shaft 8 which is supported with the bearing 24 on a cover C2 at the other end of the rotating shaft 8. In order to lubricate this bearing 24, the passage 25 is provided for access from the reduction gear-box 11 to the bearing 24.
