Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve lubricating action by a method wherein a transmission case internal wall above an idler gear is provided with a receiving surface for receiving and dropping the splashes of lubricating oil, and the lubricating oil thus trapped is guided into an oil pocket in an idler shaft bearing portion.
CONSTITUTION: A projection 31 having a receiving surface 31a for receiving and dropping the splashes of lubricating oil raked up by an idler gear 21a is provided at a portion of the internal wall of a transmission case 12B exposed above the idler gear 21a. An oil pocket 33 is fixed to the front end of a shaft support portion A supporting a bearing B4 on the side of a reverse driving gear 21b of an idler shaft 21. A vacant space is provided in the rear of a fitting hole for the portion A, and an oil receiver 32 for receiving the lubricating oil falling off the projection 31 and guiding it into the oil pocket 33 is provided at a portion of the internal wall of the case 12B.
