Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce shocks caused upon shifting the speed between the 1st and 2nd speeds by taking hydraulic pressure to a cutback valve from the upstream of a flow control valve with check valve. CONSTITUTION:Upon the spool of a shift valve 220 between the 1st and 2nd speeds being switched to the second speed, hydraulic pressure is delivered out of the shift valve between the 1st and 2nd speeds to the cutback valve 201, lock- up control valve 290 and brake 40A through the hydraulic line 113. The hydraulic pressure to the brake 40A is delivered through the flow control valve with check valve 370 and an accumulator 280 for controlling pressure rise to convert the speed smoothly into the second speed. The cutback valve 201 can deliver cutback pressure instantly upon commencement of pressure delivery because hydraulic pressure at the upstream of the flow control valve with check valve 370 is taken from the line for delivery to the cutback valve 201.
