Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable high speed operation and to prevent malfunction due to noise by using a balanced transmission line. CONSTITUTION:A pulse from a signal SGS is converted into a balanced signal at a drive device DRV and applied to a photo couple PHC via a balancing transmission line BL of a characteristic impedance ZO. Since the PHC is operative only for one polarity of the transmission signal, another polarity signal flows via a diode DD. A resistance R2 is connected to avoid reflection by selecting an impedance Zr in consideration of the reception side to the characteristic impedance ZO of the transmission line.
