Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the captioned collector indestructible against water pressure or freezing without increasing the quantity of water therein by a method wherein a water pipe forming part of the collector is made to have such sectional configuration that the radius of curvature of the internal surface of a connecting section of the water pipe is made larger than the distance between the internal surfaces of th opposing central upper and lower parts thereof. CONSTITUTION:The water pipe 2 forming part of the collector 1 is made to have such sectional configuration that the radius of curvature (r) of the water pipe 2 adjacent to its connecting section 3 is made larger than the distance (t) between the internal surfaces of the opposing central upper and lower parts thereof. To be more concrete, the water pipe 2 has such a structure that both the central part of the upper surface and that of the lower surface of the water pipe 2 are indented inwardly or only the former part is indented inwardly so that the distance between the internal surfaces of these parts is shortened. Thus, since the captioned collector is formed of the water pipe 2 of the above described structure, the quantity of water passing through the pipe 2 is not increased and the concentration of stress upon the part around the connecting section 3 due to water pressure or the like is damped so that the pipe is hardly destructed as compared to the known water pipe having its central part expanded outwardly.
