CONSTITUTION:A coil of an uncoiler 4 is leveled at its leading end with a leveler 5, and is rolled with rolling mills 1. The solid block wound on an outlet side coiler 3 is transferred to a position 22 for preparation of uncoiling for a finixhing installation of the next stage. In this position, the leading end thereof is fed by means of pinch rolls 11 into a welder in a pretreatment device 10 and is kept standing by. When the coil in an uncoiling position 23 runs out, and the trailing end arrives at the welder, the leading end of the next standing-by coil is welded. During this welding work, the position fixing device 24 for the position 22 and the movable pinch rolls 11 are removed, and the solid block wound with the coil is moved to the position 23, thence it is finished in the finishing installation of the next stage.
