Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase responsibility in such a way that grooves in the diametral direction are formed around the metallic cylinder on the spring for giving impetus on the spool of a direct-acting electrical hydraulic servo valve. CONSTITUTION:A metal spring 12 is made of a metallic cylindrical material, a pair of grooves 13 are provided in the circumferential direction, beams 14 are formed at 180 deg. of the symmetrical positions, and the grooves 13 which are adjacent thereto are provided in change of 90 deg. of the phase to said grooves 13. The metal spring 12 works with the portions of the beams 14 as resilient materials, and as the spring constant is high, and it can be expanded and contracted in the axial direction keeping its cylindrical shape, it possesses a force enough to quickly move a spool 2 in the axial direction. In addition, the metal spring 12 is the one which can be affixed into a small gap.
