Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the power supply capacity to a thin-film magnetic head, by distributing a timing circuit to each modulated signal for writing to give a prescribed delay time. CONSTITUTION:Data 118-1-118-N are supplied to modulating circuits 14-1-14-N to which a clock signal 116 is supplied. Modulated signals 102-1-102-N receive a delay of 0-N-1 times as much as T0 through timing circuits 18-1-18-N (T0: pulse duration of single pulse) to be supplied to writing circuits 16-1-16-N. The writing currents 110-1-110-N of the outputs of the writing circuits are applied to thin-film heads 10-1-10-N with no overlap caused between them. In such way, the power supply capacity can be reduced.
